King is a black Australian born Morgan Stallion.
He stands at a smidge under 15.3hh.
Born polite and placid, he is a dream stallion to own and manage.
I chanced apon him as a three year old living in the mountains of Tawonga in a batchelor herd .
Unusually tall, completely charismatic and simply oozing Morgan Type.
By chance again, I was in "once in lifetime" position to be able to purchase him.
Two weeks later this awesome young stallion was mine and starting his new life in South Australia.
Kings looks alone are impressive, but his intelligence and ability to "reason" make him an outstanding equine package.
His show record is unsurpassd by any other Morgan Horse in Australia.
Kings record in his extensive in hand career is almost perfect.
The only blot on his copybook were two second placings as a young horse!
He has received only blue ribbons and Championship Sashes since, in both Open Breed, and Morgan Classes.
Kings last in-hand appearance at the 2007 Australian National Morgan Show, saw him take Supreme In- Hand Pure Morgan Exhibit for a record FOURTH time. .
We have had good success under saddle with National Morgan Championships in Dressage, Working Hunter and Ridden Stallion.
King is a delightful horse to ride, soft and responsive with powerful forwards paces.
Classically trained in fits and starts, even after a long lay off, his almost freaky natural suppleness, self carriage and reliability are blessings a rider treasures.
True to the legendary versatility of the Morgan Horse, King recognizes English, Western and Natural horsemanship both on the ground and under saddle.
Of excellent constitution, bone and soundness, he lives a "normal" life out with his mares and family, whether in work or not.
His oldest progeny, now under saddle, are living up to our highest hopes.
