The first horse I ever bred was Boomtown Chinook. Palomino Mare Jan 1987- May 2007. Out of Hunter mare Forest Lodge Edwina by Stock Horse Stallion Chalani Pacesetter. Her in hand career ( and mine) got started with second place in the SA ASH Yearling Futurity. A couple of highlights were Champion Mare at the ASH State Championships two years running. Dressage trained, she was working at medium level before a paddock accident chipped the bone in her fetlock. Destined now to be a broodie, we looked for a suitable stallion. Having seen the movie "Justin Morgan had a Horse" and read the Morgan Story as a (horse mad) child, my interest was piqued by an advert in the "Sires Guide" for two imported Morgan Stallions living in Victoria . I paid the stud a visit and I have been smitten ever since. Chinook has produced eight exceptional Part Morgan foals. Three by Kings older half brother Mt Tawonga Moroka (dec). Her last three by King. She was part of a small (now demised) band of mares producing Morgan Sport Horses under my Boomtown Peformance Horses Prefix.
